  • Thalassa and her husband Pontos, were equivalent to Poseidon and Amphitrite as well as Oceanus and Tethys.
  • Some say that Aphrodite was Thalassa's daughter because Aphrodite being born after the nine months of gestation since Thalassa had become pregnant of Uranus after Uranus' genitals were thrown into the sea what got Thalassa pregnant.
