
Penelope

Penelope was the wife of Odysseus and mother of Telemachus who throughout the absence of her husband Odysseus remained chaste and faithful despite the constant advances of suitors who refused to leave the dwelling of Odysseus.

Penelope was the daughter of Ikarios. Her mother is never mentioned. Ikarios is also never mentioned as much.
Spouse & Lovers[]
Odysseus (first husband) In the Odyssey, Odysseus was missing for about two decades. What happened to his wife? Penelope had many suitors who wanted her hand in marriage. If you read the Odyssey (book on Odysseus and his journeys) then you'll see that Odysseus comes home, and kills all the suitors.
Telegonus (second husband) - son of Odysseus and Kirke. After he accidentaly killed his father, he was forgiven by Penelope and Telemachus and took them to his mother's island, when he granted them both immortality. Ultimately he and Penelope married.
