Kytheros was the god of the river of the same name. He was one of the children of Okeanos & Tethys. His river (which was truly no more than a stream) acted as one of the many tributaries which fed into the Alpheios by flowing down from Mount Pholoe merging with the Alpheios a short distance from Olympia after passing by the town of Herakleia.
