Korda or Kordak is the God of ritual magic. The extension of his power over magic is unknown. It is believed that his name has Turkish roots. He is the offspring of Hekate, the goddess of Witchcraft.

Relationship with Hecate[]

Dogs were closely associated with Hecate in the Classical world. "In art and in literature Hecate is constantly represented as dog-shaped or as accompanied by a dog. Her approach was heralded by the howling of a dog. The dog was Hecate's regular sacrificial animal, and was often eaten in solemn sacrament." The sacrifice of dogs to Hecate is attested for Thrace, Samothrace, Colophon, and Athens.

Little is know about Kordak and his associations with Hecate, but it is likely that his animal form is that of a wolf. This is due to his parents association with dogs.

Like Hecate, he is a chthonic deity alongside Hades and Persephone.

Symbols[]

Korda is associated with ritualistic magic and solitary practice. He is also sometimes connected to the moon and the fourth phase of Artemis(Diana).

The serpent is among his most cherished animals.
